First stop: Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux. But before that, we recommend a quick stop at the Vieille Ferme. You will find everything you need to have a picnic filled with local flavours and delicious, quality products. If you have a bit more time, you can even visit the gardens and orchards. You can also sleep on-site, in the Écogîte, a charming country-style loft.

When you get back on the road and go a little further, you’ll end up at Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux. Sea kayaking, via ferrata, fjord treetop adventure, giant ziplines, hiking, plant and mushroom picking: this enchanting park offers outdoor activities for everyone, both young and old.

St-Sapin Restaurant and Les Jardins de Sophie

The St-Sapin restaurant features regional farm products and local produce from Quebec. Meals are planned based on the season’s harvests.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer, their delicious pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired oven takes centre stage! Fridays are barbecue nights and Saturdays feature a tasting menu: a complete farm-to-table culinary experience. Enjoy your meal!

Continue driving along the Route du Fjord and you’ll reach the Sainte-Rose-du-Nord pier. This is the perfect place, located in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec, to take in the natural landscapes of the Saguenay Fjord. With its dizzying cliffs and stunningly blue water, you will surely be amazed by this lively environment.

Even better: activities and artistic performances are often held on the pier. To get to your next destination on the Route du Fjord, you can even take the Navettes maritimes du Fjord, which depart directly from the dock.

Located near Sacré-Cœur on the Route du Fjord, the Ferme 5 Étoiles is a lovely little paradise to visit, which offers several family activities. L’Anse-de-Roche pier

In the morning, head toward Tadoussac on the Route du Fjord. But before that, make a quick stop at the l’Anse-de-Roche pier, which is also located in Sacré-Cœur, just an eight-minute drive from Ferme 5 Étoiles.

From the pier’s viewpoint, you’ll be able to admire the immense beauty of the Saguenay Fjord. Fresh air and relaxation await you at this spectacular place.

Tadoussac

You may have already heard of Tadoussac. Here, whales make their home, from spring to fall. This charming and lively village is a must-see for both locals and tourists alike. You can visit colourful houses, museums and the oldest wooden church in North America!

During your visit, set aside a few hours to go see the dunes of Tadoussac. When you get there, the first thing you see is a unique panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River. You can then descend the dunes (be careful, they’re steep)! At the bottom, you’ll arrive at one of the most beautiful beaches, where you can relax. If you keep a close watch, you might even spot some marine mammals in the distance!

After visiting Tadoussac, you can take the ferry (departures are very frequent) to Baie-Sainte-Catherine, toward Petit-Saguenay.

Once you arrive, we recommend a visit to the Village-Vacances Petit-Saguenay. This destination offers an all-inclusive package, featuring all-day entertainment from morning to evening and numerous activities for the whole family. Now, it’s time to enjoy the charming village of Petit-Saguenay! Get on an electric bike that you can rent on-site to visit the village. We also suggest you visit the Minuit Moins Cinq boutique, a store with ethical creations and innovative products, from clothes to accessories, made from recycled textiles.

Finish off your day with a visit to the Petit-Saguenay pier at sunset. You will be treated to a landscape featuring the Saguenay Fjord’s magnificent blend of mountains, water and light.

A few kilometres from Petit-Saguenay lies another picturesque destination: L’Anse-Saint-Jean.
