Dockside services

Upon your arrival in Saguenay, we offer you a wide variety of services and excursions:

Guided tours – Located near the dock, the company Tours Aventure Fjord et Monde offers guided tours to various tourist sites in the region.
Electric assist bike rental – Electric assist bikes are available for rent close to the dock. A 5 km cycling path allows you to explore the Baie des Ha! Ha! as well as the Fjord Museum area. An audio guide is included with each rental.
Car rental with National – The counter is located in the Cruise Terminal. It is recommended to book your vehicle before your arrival.
Hop on/Hop off – Explore the city of Saguenay (the boroughs of La Baie and Chicoutimi) with the Hop-on Hop-off shuttle service. Tickets are sold near the dock. *This service is available on select days only.
Helicopter and seaplane – Take to the skies to admire the fjord and its breathtaking scenery from a unique angle. An unforgettable experience with Héli-Xtrême! *This service is offered on select days, depending on weather conditions.

We also have a tourist information office inside the Cruise Terminal, ready to help you fulfill your wishes and find that special something you are looking for.

Are there whales in the fjord?

No, there are no whales in the fjord. They stay in the St. Lawrence River. However, it is sometimes possible to spot belugas on the north shore of the fjord, at Baie-Sainte-Marguerite.

There is no specific best time to visit the region; Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean offers unique activities throughout the year, providing a memorable experience in every season.

What are the typical regional dishes?

The region is renowned for its local gastronomy. Don’t miss the Lac-Saint-Jean tourtière, gourgane soup, blueberry pie, and wild berries such as blueberries. Local restaurants also offer traditional Quebecois cuisine and locally sourced products.
