ZEC Chauvin
The ZEC territory is ideal for duck watching, including Barrow's goldeneye. Keep your eyes peeled, as this diving duck is considered one of Eastern Canada's vulnerable birds. This duck lays its eggs in the cavities of large trees, or in nest boxes installed for it by the Canadian Wildlife Service. It is therefore possible to observe females and their ducklings on the lakes of the ZEC from the beginning of July.
