Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux and the Old Farm
First stop: Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux. But before that, we recommend a stop at la Vieille Ferme,it's possible to sleep on site in the Ecogîte, a cozy country loft.
Afterwards, you can continue on your way to the Parc Aventures Cap Jaseux. Sea kayaking, via ferrata, tree fjord, giant zip lines, hiking, plant and mushroom picking: this enchanting place offers outdoor activities that are sure to amuse young and old alike.
Restaurant le St-Sapin and Les Jardins de Sophie
Visit restaurant St-Sapin features products from the farm, from the Saguenay Fjord region and from Quebec's terroir. Meals are concocted according to the season's harvests.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer months, delicious pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired oven takes center stage! On Fridays and Saturdays, we offer a tasting menu: a complete taste experience, from earth to table. Bon appétit!
The Sainte-Rose-du-Nord wharf
Keep driving on the Route du Fjord to get to the sainte-Rose-du-Nord wharf. In the heart of one of Quebec's most beautiful villages, you'll be able to admire the natural landscapes of the Saguenay Fjord. With its vertiginous rocks and uniquely blue water, you're sure to marvel at this place full of life.
What's more, there's often entertainment and artistic performances taking place on the quay. To get to your next destination on the Route du Fjord, you can even take the Fjord maritime shuttleswhich leave directly from the dock.
La Ferme 5 Étoiles
Located on the Route du Fjord, near Sacré-Cœur, the Ferme 5 Étoiles is a real little paradise to visit, offering a wide range of family activities. Visit the kennel and the animals at the refuge, sea kayak, hike, relax, fish, mountain bike, watch black bears - there's something for everyone!
If you'd like to extend your stay at Ferme 5 Étoiles, we suggest you sleep on site. Cottages, inns, camps and camping areas: you can choose from traditional or unusual accommodations. What's more, the site offers accommodation on the banks of the Saguenay Fjord or directly on site.
Quai de l'Anse-de-Roche
The next morning, we head for Tadoussac along the Route du Fjord. But before you do, you'll need to make a short stop to see the view from the quai de l'Anse-de-Rochewhich is also located in Sacré-Cœur, just an eight-minute drive from Ferme 5 Étoiles.
From this vantage point, you can admire the full beauty of the Saguenay Fjord. Fresh air and relaxation await you at this spectacular dock.
Tadoussac
You may have heard of Tadoussac. This is where whales make their home for much of the year, from spring through to autumn. This charming, lively village is a must-see for locals and tourists alike. You'll find colorful houses, museums and the oldest wooden church in North America!
During your visit, don't forget to set aside a few hours to visit the Tadoussac dunes. The first thing you'll see when you get there is a unique panorama of the St. Lawrence River. You can then descend the dunes (be careful, it's steep!). You'll then arrive at a magnificent beach where you can relax. Keep your eyes peeled for sea mammals in the distance!
Village-Vacances Petit-Saguenay
After your visit to Tadoussac, you can take the ferry (departures are very frequent) to Baie-Sainte-Catherine, in the direction of Petit-Saguenay.
Once there, we recommend a visit to the Village-Vacances Petit-Saguenay. It's an all-inclusive destination, with entertainment from morning to night and plenty of activities for the whole family. This enchanting place is located on the banks of the Saguenay Fjord, with an exceptional vast beach. People from all over Quebec choose this lively spot for their summer vacations!
If you'd like to spend the night, you can do so on a camping site or in one of the rental chalets.
Petit-Saguenay wharf
Now it's time to enjoy the charm of the village of Petit-Saguenay! Visit it on an electric bike, which you can rent on site. We also suggest you visit the boutique Minuit Cinqa place of ethical creations and innovations, where you'll find clothes and accessories made from recycled textiles.
End your day with a visit to the quai de Petit-Saguenayjust as the sun is setting. You'll be treated to a landscape featuring the Saguenay Fjord, a blend of mountain, water and light.
L'Anse-Saint-Jean
Just a few kilometers from Petit-Saguenay is another picturesque destination: l'Anse-Saint-Jean. A veritable natural paradise, L'Anse-Saint-Jean is renowned for its varied activities, breathtaking vistas and location right in the heart of nature! In fact, the village lies between two protected nature reserves: the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay and the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park.
