Dockside services

When you arrive in Saguenay, we offer a wide variety of services and excursions:

Guided tours - Located near the quay, Tours Aventure Fjord et Monde offers guided tours to various tourist sites in the region.
Electric bike rental - Electric-assist bicycles are available for hire right next to the dock. A 5 km bike path lets you explore Baie des Ha! Ha! and the Musée du Fjord area. An audio-guide is included with every rental.
Car rental with National - The counter is located in the Cruise Pavilion. We recommend reserving your vehicle before arrival.
Hop on/Hop off - Explore the city of Saguenay (La Baie and Chicoutimi boroughs) with the Hop-on Hop-off shuttle service. Tickets are sold near the dock. *This service is available on certain days only.
Helicopter and seaplane - Get up high and admire the fjord and its breathtaking scenery from a unique angle. An unforgettable experience with Heli-Xtreme! *This service is available on certain days, depending on weather conditions.

We also have a tourist information office inside the Cruise Pavilion, ready to help you make your wishes come true and find that little something you've been looking for.

How can I book an excursion to Saguenay?

You can book your excursions on board your cruise ship, or directly with local companies such as Saguenay Guided Tours. This company offers guided tours to various attractions in the region, with a meeting point located near the dock. It's advisable to book in advance, especially during high season, to guarantee your place.

Are there whales in the fjord?

No, there are no whales in the fjord. They stay in the St. Lawrence River. However, belugas can sometimes be seen on the north shore of the fjord, at Baie-Sainte-Marguerite.

There's no better time to visit the region, as Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean offers unique activities all year round, providing a memorable experience in every season.

What are the typical regional dishes?

The region is renowned for its local gastronomy. Don't miss the Lac-Saint-Jean tourtière, gourgue soup, blueberry pie and wild berries such as blueberries. Local restaurants also offer traditional Quebec cuisine and local produce.
