When you arrived in Saguenay via Talbot Boulevard, you may have spotted some beautiful mountains in the distance. These high peaks, reaching 984 metres, are the Monts Valin.

Hiking, fishing, paddleboarding, wildlife observation, snowshoeing, cross-country or Nordic skiing, exploring Vallée des Fantômes... there's no shortage of outdoor activities in this national park located just 35 minutes from downtown Chicoutimi.

Renowned worldwide for its great beauty, the parc national des Monts-Valin is undoubtedly a must-see destination for all outdoor enthusiasts.

If you're looking for something to do in the La Baie borough, the Center plein air Bec-Scie is a real natural jewel to discover! It's located very close to the city, making it a very accessible outdoor destination. Its magnificent trails (over 120 km) allow you to practice the sport of your choice, all year round.

A must-see on your visit: the canyon. To get there, simply follow the "Le Canyon" hiking trail. Once there, you can take a moment to admire the mighty falls, then cross the bridge and continue your hike along the groomed trails.

Looking for a few days of adventure? How about exploring the stunning Véloroute du Fjord du Saguenay? With its 435 kilometers, it invites you to discover several villages by bike and admire the most beautiful panoramas of the region.

The Véloroute du Fjord du Saguenay is accessible to all types of cyclists, from beginners to experts. Depending on the distance you wish to cover, you can adapt your route accordingly.

Rivière-aux-Sables Park

Visit rivière-aux-Sables park is located in Jonquière, along a river of the same name. Easily accessible, it's the perfect place for a river adventure, with water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, Cyclopal® and pedal-boating.

After your activity, take advantage of this pretty urban park to take a break and visit the covered market, the public square, the market or even the playground and water games. You can also cross the magnificent bridge linking the two banks.

Located in Jonquière, this center is perfect for adventures with family and friends. With trails offering different levels of difficulty, this center is accessible to all age groups.

If you'd like to rent equipment to learn a new sport, you can do so at the welcome pavilion.

Looking for a breath of fresh air in the heart of the city? Visit parc de la Rivière-du-Moulin is just the little getaway you need!

Located in the Chicoutimi district, right in the heart of the city, this nature park is very popular with residents, who frequent it in large numbers. And with good reason, as it offers a wide range of activities.

In winter, snowshoeing, skating and cross-country skiing are particularly enjoyable in this nearby park.

During the summer season, water sports rentals are available for exploring the river. Canoes, single or double kayaks and pedal boats are available. Of course, you can also walk or hike through the park.
